TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

2019 Tecom Summer Competition

  1. Information on how to enter and prize form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
  2. Entry must be made online through at: www.interlogix.com.au/summerpromotion. Entry will not be available through any other means.
  3. Entry is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older who purchase one (1) or more Challenger panel(s) (either TS1016 – Challenger10 – or TS1016LE – ChallengerLE) from Hills Ltd in a single order during the Competition Period, as defined herein. Employees of the Promoter or of Hills Ltd, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
  5. The promotion commences at 9.00 AEDT on 1 February 2019 and closes at 18.00 AEDT on 30 March 2019 (“Competition Period”).
  6. To enter the major prize draw, eligible entrants must during the Competition Period:
    - Correctly answer the following question: “Which control panels does the Tecom Mobile app connect to?”
    - Attach a copy of a proof of purchase (such as a tax invoice or a sales order receipt from Hills Ltd) dated between 1 February 2019 (inclusive) and 30 March 2019 (inclusive); and
    - provide their contact details.
  7. Each eligible entrant must retain and produce for inspection by the Promoter their photo ID in order to claim the prize. Failure to provide this to the Promoter upon request will result in an invalid entry.
  8. Multiple entries will not be accepted. Incorrect, incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be accepted for lost, late or misdirected entries.
  9. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission.
  10. Each valid entry is also eligible receive one (1) complimentary Tecom polo shirt for each Challenger panel purchased, subject to a limit of ten (10) polo shirts per entry. To claim the complimentary polo shirt(s), the entrant must simply indicate the size(s) required in the relevant field on the entry form. Polo shirts will be made available for pick up by the entrant within 14 days after the Competition Period ends. Entrants will be notified via email when the polo shirt is ready to be collected from the requested Hills branch based on the contact details provided.
  11. Entrants will be notified by 18.00 AEST on 10 April 2019 if they are a provisional major prize draw winner and with instructions as to how to claim the prize.
  12. The major prize draw will take place at 10 Ferntree Place, Notting Hill, VIC 3168 on Tuesday, 9 April 2019 at 10:00am (AEST). The winner will be notified by telephone or email. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of residency and proof of age identification (to the Promoter’s satisfaction in its discretion) before issuing the prize. The Promoter’s decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. There is only one prize to be won and one winner. The winning entry drawn will win a prize up to the value of $500.00 AUD including GST (estimated current market value). The prize is a summer pack comprising:
    a) 1 x Weber Q BBQ LPG (portable LPG Gas BBQ); and
    b) 1 x 52l Wheeled Hard Cooler (Esky brand) (model number 1381611).
    The prize is not severable, transferable or exchangeable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash. This is a game of skill and chance. All eligible entries received during the Competition Period will be considered. All correct answers to the question will then be entered into the major prize draw. The odds of winning the major prize depend on the number of correct, eligible entries received during the Competition Period.
  15. The maximum total prize pool is valued up to $500.00 AUD including GST (estimated current market value). The value of the prize is accurate and based upon the recommended retail price of the prize at the date of the promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize after that date.
  16. Delivery of the prize is subject to availability of the prize. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize to the same value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.
  17. Prizes depicted in all promotional material are not necessarily the same specification and colour as the prize.
  18. The Promoter may conduct such further draws as are necessary at 10:00am (AEST), 30 April 2019 at 10 Ferntree Place, Notting Hill VIC 3168 in order to distribute the prize if unclaimed by that date subject to any written directions given under legislation. In the event of any winner in the unclaimed prize draw, the winner will be notified by telephone or email on the day of the draw.
  19. The Promoter and its related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter and its related bodies corporate make no warranties and accept no liability in relation to the prize, its condition or fitness for any purpose. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  21. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telecommunications or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a mobile network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this promotion.
  22. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions under State or Territory legislation.
  23. The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter.
  24. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By participating in the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may also use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with special offers via any medium including mail and commercial electronic messages. The Promoter may use each winner’s name and image in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. The Promoter may share information with its related companies who may contact entrants with special offers. The Promoter may also share information with other persons or entities that assist the Promoter in running promotions or with other companies who provide prizes for promotions. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that their personal information may be used in the manner described above and otherwise in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy available from its website https://www.interlogix.com.au. A request to access, update or correct any personal information should be directed to the Promoter at the address stated below or in accordance with the privacy policy.
